I was pondering a muffler change on my Mustang and could not decide between either the Kooks race mufflers and some Borla Xr1's.... Currently the car has a Steeda axleback setup on it with JBA shorty headers. I wanted something a bit more loud. I run the XR1's on my old Mercury and I love them, so in October I picked up a set along with some nice tips to complete the package....

One of the things I do not have access to is a welder so I'd have to pay someone to do that no matter which of the 2 muffler types I went with....or so I thought.

Today I saw this: !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

I know of 2 other 4.6 3v s197's that had these mufflers....now they come in a convenient axleback kit as of about a month ago..... they sound like sex.

Now do I shell out to have some exhaust fab work done or do I bring the Borlas and tips back to the store I got them from and just order these and put them on in my garage?

If you want some killer noise, change the cams. Fuck, that noise is badass.

For the gains that I've seen from people I know who've done it, it aint worth it. If I were putting some gigantic heads on the motor then yes, but I'm keeping the stock heads and cams for now. The plan is for a much looser converter and a fuel pump upgrade so I can crank up the boost on the supercharger.
